Should we be treating The Patient or the Tumor?
It’s an age old question, treat the Patient or the Tumor? Modern cancer therapies of chemo, radiation, and therapy are primarily concerned with ridding the body of tumors. If the tumor shrinks or disappears, the therapy is a success, even if the patient died. Nuts, huh?
Dr. Ernesto Contreras asks, who should we be treating The Patient or the Tumor?
Dr. Ernesto Contreras had been speaking to many health and medical organizations since the early 1970s. Over and over he presented his papers and was told his “cancer cures” were worthless because sometimes the tumor only shrank a bit but did not disappear even thought the patient may have lived for twenty more years. His son, Dr. Francisco Contreras inherited his father’s mantel for the Oasis of Hope Hospital in Tijuana, Mexico (www.oasisofhope.com). Today, as with his father before him, Dr. Francisco Contreras battles the medical establishment on effective treatment. According to Dr. Contreras, “If the patient is comfortable and lives an extra ten years, why are we so distracted if they have a non threatening tumor?” Dr. Contreras was interviewed on the popular TV show, Know the Cause with Doug Kaufmann to address this issue, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-_4xdjeWps.
The Oasis of Hope Hospital answers the question, The Patient or the Tumor?
Oasis, as well as other Alternative and Integrative clinics and hospitals keep all options on the table: mild chemotherapy, surgery, nutrition, ozone, etc. They introduce a “cocktail” of alternative therapies because different people respond to different therapies and with cancer, one does not have the luxury of time to try each one for a mont or two. Time is of the essence so when one recovers, one is never totally sure what healed them but isn’t that like the people who are treated for AIDS with their “cocktail?” The logic is the same and effective.
Are you a Patient or a Tumor?
The number one question I get is, “When did you know you were cured?” Not totally sure, actually. It took over a year before I didn’t need three hour naps a day. But in the second year of staying on an all organic Diet and Program, my energy began to return, my color came back, and I added a few pounds.
If you are facing a cancer situation, my advice is to go somewhere where they treat the Patient, not the Tumor.
